First of all, I made this website all by myself, and it went live 2/1/12. So there are a few bugs but stay tuned, lots more coming.
So this is me, Dennis, slightly younger and much cuter. I have a pic of me as a toddler sitting on the toilet which I will post later. I now live in Cave Creek, Arizona, and have been a doctor in the area for nearly 38 years, among other things.
Inspired by my Dad, an avid photographer and creative genius, I have been taking photos ever since I held my first Brownie camera in grade school. A final image taking days and 30 darkroom steps can now be done in Photoshop in minutes.
My passion is turning photos into various art forms and creating custom displays and wall murals, the bigger the better. While nothing tops the awe of standing on the rim of the Grand Canyon, a wall sized mural will give you way more goosebumps than an 8 by 10 print.
Murals are interchangeable by design so they can migrate between several locations in your home or business. It keeps the space fresh and varied, plus keep your costs down.
I will work with any image, mine, yours, from one of my featured photographers (see links), or an image from the internet. Every project is a custom creation resulting in a unique interchange between the client and myself as we go from design, production, and installation.
The process of creating a captivating/impressive display or mural involves careful design and processing of the image, printing with archival inks, mounting on various backings, and design and installation of special lighting if needed. For wall sized murals we use a custom
designed hanging system which allows you to completely change from say a breathtaking view of Monument Valley to a beautiful beach in Tahiti in about 30 minutes. Why not a different mural for each season?
My main camera is the Canon 60D, 18MP. Most images are now HDR and many of the panos involved stitching together and processing over 30 frames. Having used Photoshop for 20 years or so, I can now whip things out fairly fast. I'm now using Lightroom 3.0, PS CS5, PT Gui, HDR Pro, Topaz and Nik filters, and various custom image enhancing and photoart techniques.
The beauty of our world is staggering. It is my passion to capture a small part of it to share, inspire, and uplift others, but I give all credit to the original Artist who designed it all.
